How To Treat Keloids at Home?

Ever noticed an enlarged scar on your body? This can be keloids, which are caused by the abnormal growth of fibrous tissues. Keloids are unevenly shaped, have pink color and smooth appearance, and often increase in size. Often considered as benign tumors of the skin, keloids progressively grow in size and does not know when to stop. Henceforth, to get rid of such unsightly appearance from your skin, you can opt for some of the home remedies.

Effective ways to treat keloids

? Aspirin- Crush 3-4 aspirin tablets and make a thick paste mixing it with water. Apply this over the scar and let it dry. After a few minutes, wash it off and apply moisturizer. Due to its exfoliating and anti-inflammatory qualities, it works best for the keloids.

? Baking soda- Add baking soda and hydrogen peroxide and make a paste. Apply this over the scar and allow it to stay for 20 minutes. For quick healing, repeat this process two times a day. Baking soda helps in exfoliating skin and lessens the swelling present.

? Apple cider vinegar- Dilute apple cider vinegar in water and apply it over the scar. Rinse it off after 30 minutes. Being an astringent and exfoliant, apple cider vinegar is an effective remedy to treat keloids.

? Lemon juice- Put lemon juice directly on the scar and keep it for half an hour. As lemon is rich in vitamin C, it speeds up the healing process. You may notice significant changes in the color and texture of the skin.

? Garlic- You can apply crushed garlic cloves or garlic oil over the affected area. Garlic stops the growth of the fibrous tissues and boosts circulation of blood.

Apart from these, there are other home remedies as well. For more information, contact an expert at Curedit.
